The American Professional
Tennis League
-
The American Professional Tennis League (APTL) is a pioneering venture designed to reimagine professional tennis in the United States. The APTL challenges this status quo by introducing a city-based, franchise-driven league that transforms tennis into a sport with tribal loyalty, consistent entertainment, and sustainable economics for athletes.
Launching in Summer 2026 with four inaugural franchises in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Louisville, the APTL will operate a structured 10-week summer season that culminates in a playoff series and championship weekend. Each match — known as a “Tie” — will consist of nine single-set contests (four men’s singles, four women’s singles, and one mixed doubles), scored by aggregate games won. This unique structure ensures that every point matters, creating suspense and excitement across the full three-hour match window.

Authenticity over spectacle. Every match showcases true skill, sportsmanship, and the heart of the game.

We’re building icons, not just champions—nurturing tomorrow’s superstars with every rally.

For athletes, the APTL addresses a glaring weakness in professional tennis: financial instability. Under the global tour system, only the top 100 players consistently earn enough to sustain a career, leaving hundreds of talented athletes struggling with travel costs and uncertain earnings. The APTL guarantees base salaries plus health benefits, training support, and opportunities for off-season engagement. This model provides stability and keeps more high-caliber talent in the sport.

Family-friendly. Inclusive. Connected. APTL puts fans, players, and neighborhoods at the heart of every match day.
______For fans, the league introduces a model that is familiar from other professional sports: a hometown team to root for, rivalries to anticipate, and players who represent their city both on and off the court. With affordable ticket pricing and family-oriented game-day experiences, the APTL is designed to be accessible while building deep emotional loyalty.
